Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Are food & drinks included?

Food and drinks are not included. All food (including the cake) and drinks should be purchased and brought with you. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed unless the party is being booked as a Paint & Sip.

Exception: If you select cooking as your art programming for the party, then DBJ will provide food for the cooking class. Please contact us if you or anyone in your party is concerned about food allergies..

Who is counted as a guest?

Guests include all children (children under 2 are free) and adults in attendance at the birthday party. Adults may drop-off and pick-up children who are guests, but only guests will be able to stay for the duration of the party. For the safety and enjoyment of all guests at Dreams by Janice Art Studio, we require all guests to comply with the Dreams by Janice Code of Conduct.

What kind of art projects do you offer during the party?

We create fun art and cooking projects for guests of all ages. We offer painting, arts & crafts, sewing, and cooking. We can custom design our lesson plan around a specific theme too. At the end of the party, each of your guests will have their very own art project or yummy treats to take home with them.

Am I allowed to bring my own birthday cake?

Yes, you are allowed and you should bring your own birthday cake to the party. Dreams by Janice does not offer birthday cake as a part of the birthday party package.

What party decorations does Dreams by Janice provide?

We provide balloons, happy birthday banner, plates, bowls, utensils, candles, and matches. If you wish to have a special party theme (e.g. Frozen, Mickey Mouse, Sports Team), then you should provide your own decorations.

Would if I have my own decorations?

Great! We would be happy to use whatever decorations you provide. We just ask that you bring those decorations to the Art Studio before the party, and we’ll decorate the space for you. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate decorations like confetti, glitter, party string spray, etc.

Can I bring party favors?

Yes, please feel free to bring party favors for your guests. However, we have found that the art projects that your guests make are usually the best party favors. If you bring your own party favors, we ask that they be distributed as guests are departing.
