Painting

Beginners Painting:
This class is geared towards individuals with a desire to learn how to paint. In this class, students will learn how to paint various subjects using watercolors and/or acrylic paints. No experience is required, because the lesson plan is designed to show students step-by-step how to mix the colors, paint the subject, and then prepare the painting for display. At the end of each class, students will have their very own painting to take home and display.
 
Class Groups: Adults  |  Teens  |  Ages 9-12  |  Ages 5-8  
Advance Painting:
This class is for individuals with at least two years of experience painting and who wish to learn new painting techniques and dabble with different paint medium, such as watercolors, acrylics, and oils. Each student artist will receive individualized feedback from the instructor in order to advance their skills. The classes are taught in sessions of 4-6 weeks and by the end of each session each student artist will have a finished piece. Options for professional framing and matting will also be offered.

Private Lesson:
Dreams by Janice offers private lessons to experienced and aspiring artists. These classes are tailored to fit whatever you wish to learn during that session. You may wish to study and learn a new brush technique, or learn how to get more creative with colors, or learn how to develop your own professional art portfolio. Our private lessons are geared to serve you, so let us know what you want to achieve! Private lessons are offered at the studio at a mutually convenient time for the student and the instructor.
Paint & Sip
Calling all the grown folk! This class if for ages 21+. Bring your favorite bottle of wine and enjoy a relaxed setting for painting your very own masterpiece.

Creative Art in Residential Settings
Dreams by Janice offers on-site painting and cooking classes at independent and senior residential facilities in Old Town, Orono, Bangor, Brewer, and the surrounding areas. These classes are offered on-site where the residents live. Activity and Program Directors will find that these group classes are easy to book, and all of the residents will be eager to participate.  No previous painting or cooking experience is required, and all classes are adjusted to the residents’ abilities. For the painting classes, at the end of each class, each resident will have a completed painting which is ready to display on the wall. For the cooking classes, the residents (and staff!) will have a delicious snack to munch on. These classes are full of fun and you will certainly enjoy watching your residents engage in the creative arts.  Contact Dreams by Janice for more information.
